Calming Hibiscus Martini

Patio season has officially begun, and it’s time to soak up some much needed vitamin D. What better way to kick off the beginning of warmer weather than with a new colourful cocktail recipe. This Calming Hibiscus Martini is refreshing and loaded with beneficial nutrients. For this recipe, we’ve used Thrive Remedies Calm organic adaptogenic tea. Calm is full-bodied with floral flavour notes of hibiscus, rosehips, camomile and passionflower. Check out the full recipe below.

Calming Hibiscus Martini

For the Simple Syrup

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup dried hibiscus
  • ½ cup agave
  • ½ cup water

Instructions:

  1. Add dried hibiscus, water and syrup to a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to a simmer on medium to low heat for 10 min.
  3. Remove from heat and strain
  4. Store in the fridge in an airtight container for one to two weeks.

Hibiscus Martini Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 – 4 oz Thrive Remedies Calm
  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Lime Juice
  • 1 oz hibiscus syrup
  • Ice

Optional:

1 tbsp liquid from can of chickpeas (gives a beautiful crema) and a few dashes of bitters

Instructions:

  1. Add Thrive Remedies Calm, lime juice, hibiscus simple syrup, bitters, chickpea liquid and ice to a shaker.
  2. Shake for 1 min until it gets frothy then strain into a glass.
  3. Sprinkle with hibiscus for garnish
  4. Enjoy!
